Job Summary
The Hartford is hiring an Employment Practices Liability Claims Analyst in Douglas, Juneau, US. This entry‑level role in the Global Specialty – Financial Lines team focuses on managing a portfolio of employment practices liability (EPL) claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, investigate, and evaluate EPL claims from initial intake through resolution.
- Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, and data entry in the company’s claims management system.
- Coordinate with internal legal, underwriting, and risk management teams to develop appropriate claim strategies.
- Communicate claim status and recommendations to clients, counsel, and senior analysts.
- Assist in preparing claim reports, loss reserving calculations, and trend analysis.
- Support senior analysts with complex claim reviews, settlement negotiations, and litigation tracking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with claims management software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
