Electrical Project Engineer – Manchester, Greater Manchester
Join a leading civil engineering and infrastructure specialist as an Electrical Project Engineer in Manchester, with hybrid working options and a competitive salary of £50‑55k plus bonus, car allowance and excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical and control engineers, to integrate electrical solutions across water, transport, built environment and energy sectors.
- Prepare detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, load calculations and technical documentation.
- Manage project budgets, schedules and risk assessments, reporting progress to senior management and clients.
- Conduct site inspections, testing and commissioning of electrical systems, troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain health and safety standards and ensure all work follows relevant regulations and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in electrical engineering within civil or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting, control systems and renewable energy integration.
- Proficiency with CAD/ BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and engineering software.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence (car allowance provided).
