About This Position
Job Summary
Nelnet is seeking a Curriculum Parent Engagement Specialist to join its FACTS division in Washington, D.C., US. This role drives collaboration between schools, families and educators to enhance curriculum delivery and student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement parent‑engagement strategies aligned with K‑12 curriculum standards.
- Facilitate workshops, webinars and community events that empower families to support learning at home.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers and product teams to tailor technology solutions for parent communication.
- Analyze engagement data, produce actionable insights and recommend improvements to curriculum resources.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parent inquiries, ensuring timely and empathetic resolution.
- Create instructional guides, newsletters and digital content that translate complex educational concepts into clear, family‑friendly language.
- Stay current on education policy, emerging ed‑tech trends and best practices in family outreach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in K‑12 curriculum development, parent engagement or educational outreach.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. K‑12 standards and school district operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with learning management systems, data‑visualization tools and virtual event platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with educators, families and community partners.
