About This Position
Excalibur Insurance Management Services LLC is hiring a Claims Data Analyst in Scranton, Lackawanna County, US. This role supports governmental insurance programs by analyzing claims data, improving reporting accuracy, and driving actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate claims data from county, city, school district, and other public authority sources.
- Perform statistical analysis and trend identification to support underwriting and loss control decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and IT teams to enhance data integration processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal data governance policies.
- Provide ad‑hoc data extracts and insights for audit and litigation support.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in claims data analysis, preferably within governmental or public sector insurance.
- Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Knowledge of property and casualty insurance terminology is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
