About This Position
Job Summary
Merck is seeking a Chronic Care Specialty Sales Representative to join its Atlanta, Fulton County team. This field‑based role focuses on driving patient impact by delivering specialty pharmaceutical solutions within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary scientific and clinical contact for healthcare providers in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with Account Executives, Integrated Delivery Systems leaders, and other field colleagues to develop patient‑focused strategies.
- Identify and engage key opinion leaders to promote Merck’s chronic‑care portfolio.
- Deliver product education, clinical data, and value‑based messaging to support formulary decisions.
- Achieve sales targets and market share growth through strategic account planning.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide regular territory performance reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of specialty pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably in chronic‑care therapeutics.
- Strong understanding of clinical data, reimbursement pathways, and specialty drug distribution.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Compensation
Base salary: $195,846.08 annually (plus performance‑based incentives and benefits).
