Job Summary
Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (Hydraulics/Components) to cover the North of England, including Liverpool, Manchester, Yorkshire, Newcastle, and Carlisle. This hybrid role offers a salary of £50,000‑£65,000 plus company car, bonus and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities for hydraulic systems and components across the North West region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering, procurement and maintenance teams in key industrial sectors.
- Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value of our fluid power solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, manage the sales pipeline and achieve quarterly revenue targets.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and service teams to provide accurate quotations and after‑sales support.
- Report market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to inform product development.
Requirements
- Proven track record in selling hydraulic systems, components or fluid‑power products.
- Strong technical understanding of hydraulic circuits, pumps, valves and related equipment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
- Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently while collaborating with a wider team.
- Willingness to travel across the North of England (approximately 30‑40% of the time).
- Valid UK driving licence.
