Job Summary
The District of Columbia Bar is seeking an Associate Manager, Communications & Marketing in Washington, Washington, D.C. This role leads marketing and communications to support the Pro Bono Center’s fundraising and lawyer mobilization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute day‑to‑day marketing and communication strategies for the Pro Bono Center.
- Create compelling content for newsletters, press releases, social media, and donor communications.
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Pro Bono Center and the DC Bar Communications & Marketing team.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, media outlets, and community partners.
- Track performance metrics, prepare reports, and adjust tactics to meet goals.
- Oversee budget allocation for marketing activities and ensure cost‑effective use of resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in nonprofit or legal‑sector communications and marketing.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools, email platforms, and analytics software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Compensation & Benefits
