About This Position

Stahl Companies is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its program‑management team supporting commercial technology firms in the US government sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries for multiple client projects.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP and government contract accounting standards.
  • Produce financial statements, variance analyses, and budget reports for senior leadership.
  • Assist with audit preparation, respond to auditor inquiries, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with program managers to track project costs, revenue recognition, and cash flow.
  • Support tax filings, regulatory reporting, and internal controls for the channel of small businesses and start‑ups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in government contracting or technology services.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR, and cost‑accounting standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $78,630.98 per year.
