About the Role
As a Remote Datacenter Technician for TechInfrastructure Solutions, you will be the essential on-the-ground (virtually supported) expert responsible for the physical health and operational excellence of our client’s distributed data center facilities. You will perform remote diagnostics, guide on-site personnel through complex hardware installations and replacements, and ensure 99.99% uptime for critical systems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform remote troubleshooting and provide step-by-step guidance for server, storage, and network hardware issues.
- Coordinate and supervise on-site technicians for rack/stack operations, cabling, and hardware swaps.
- Utilize remote hands tools and DCIM software to monitor environmental conditions (power, cooling, security).
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation for all hardware assets and maintenance activities.
- Execute scheduled maintenance and firmware updates on critical infrastructure components.
- Act as a primary point of contact for emergency response, ensuring swift resolution of critical incidents.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a datacenter, server room, or IT hardware support role.
- CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, or equivalent foundational certification (or proven competency).
- Expert knowledge of server form factors (rack, blade), enterprise storage arrays, and networking hardware.
- Proficiency with remote management tools (iDRAC, iLO, ILOM, RSA) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, rack elevation drawings, and cabling schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear, concise remote instruction.
- Must possess a high-speed, stable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet home office setup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with major OEMs: Dell, HP, Cisco, Juniper, Lenovo, Supermicro.
- Basic understanding of power distribution units (PDUs), UPS systems, and cooling architectures.

Salary Range
