Salary Range

$120,000 – $150,000 USD/year (based on experience, certifications, and market benchmarks)

About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will spearhead the development of high‑performance power distribution systems, renewable energy integrations, and advanced control architectures for a portfolio of SaaS‑enabled hardware products. The position is fully remote, allowing you to collaborate with cross‑functional teams across North America, Europe, and Asia via video conferences, collaborative design tools, and cloud‑based simulation platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring harnesses using Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or similar tools.
  • Perform rigorous FMEA, thermal analysis, and EMC/EMI testing to ensure compliance with UL, IEC, and FCC standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns, providing technical reviews, design guidance, and career development support.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, and product managers to align electrical architecture with overall system goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including design for manufacturability (DFM), cost reduction, and sustainability targets.

Requirements

Technical Expertise

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in power electronics, high‑voltage systems, or renewable energy hardware.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (Altium, KiCad, or Eagle) and simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, Ansys).
  • Hands‑on experience with IEC 61850, CAN, Modbus, and other industrial communication protocols.
  • Demonstrated success in leading hardware design projects from prototype to mass production.

Soft Skills & Remote Work Competencies

  • Exceptional communication skills—able to convey complex concepts clearly in virtual meetings and documentation.
  • Self‑motivated, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities across time zones.
  • Proven ability to mentor and inspire distributed teams.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with a data‑driven approach.

Benefits & Perks

  • Fully remote work—set up your home office with a $2,000 equipment stipend.
  • Competitive salary plus annual performance bonus.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans.
  • 401(k) with company match up to 5%.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and flexible holidays.
  • Professional development budget for certifications, conferences, and online courses.
  • Wellness program including virtual yoga, mental‑health counseling, and ergonomic assessments.
