Key Responsibilities

  • Capture real‑time, word‑for‑word records of court hearings, depositions, and legislative sessions using stenotype or voice‑writing equipment.
  • Produce accurate, proof‑read transcripts and certify them according to jurisdictional standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all case materials.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, judges, and court staff to resolve transcription queries.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Rules of Evidence and company quality‑control protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Digital Court Reporter (e.g., NCRA, NRS) with at least 2 years of courtroom or deposition experience.
  • Proficiency in real‑time reporting software (e.g., Stenograph, Eclipse, Case CATalyst).
  • Exceptional typing speed (minimum 225 wpm) and accuracy (≥99%).
  • Strong grasp of legal terminology and courtroom procedures.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
