ZenPoint Solutions is seeking a Sr. Software Development Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) in Washington, Washington, D.C. This full‑time role supports federal IT missions and requires an active Top Secret clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate security controls into software systems supporting critical government applications.
- Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analyses throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with DoD, NIST, and other federal security standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on secure coding practices.
- Prepare and present security documentation, test plans, and audit artifacts for government reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance (must be a U.S. citizen).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in software development and information system security engineering.
- Proficiency with secure coding languages (C/C++, Java, Python) and DevSecOps toolsets.
- In‑depth knowledge of NIST 800‑53, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks.
Preferred Skills
- DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or CEH.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) in a federal environment.
Compensation & Benefits
