Pure Resourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire. This permanent role offers a competitive salary of £45,000‑£50,000 and the chance to influence financial performance across a nationwide organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets, rolling forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
• Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights for senior management.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and statutory requirements.
• Maintain and improve internal control procedures and financial reporting processes.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as required.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and contribute to strategic decision‑making.

Required Skills & Experience

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 3‑5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record in management accounting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Strong knowledge of VAT legislation and UK tax compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage).
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Immediate availability preferred.
