Job Summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse specialized in Critical Care for the OUHC ICU in Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. This role offers a competitive salary of $93,475.41 annually.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and operate life‑support equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and adjust care plans.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients’ families on disease processes, treatment options, and post‑discharge care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, code response teams, and continuing education programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Louisiana RN license with active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience.

• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
