About the Role

As a Remote Substance Abuse Counselor, you will provide evidence-based behavioral health services to clients facing substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health challenges, and related life stressors. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, addiction studies, or a related field.
• Current state license or certification required, such as LPC, LMHC, LCSW, CADC, LCDC, or an equivalent credential.
• Experience providing substance use disorder treatment in outpatient, virtual, residential, or community-based settings.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, relapse prevention, harm reduction, and co-occurring disorder treatment.
• Strong documentation, communication, assessment, and crisis-response skills.
• Experience using electronic health records and secure telehealth platforms.
• Ability to work independently, protect client confidentiality, and meet clinical documentation deadlines.
• Compliance with HIPAA, state counseling regulations, and all remote-care standards.

Work Environment and Schedule
