Salary Range

We offer a highly competitive compensation package for experienced Water Resources Engineers: $72,000 – $105,000 USD/year, based on years of experience and technical expertise. About the Role

As a Remote Water Resources Engineer, you will be at the core of designing, analyzing, and managing water systems that serve cities, agricultural regions, and ecosystems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones using digital collaboration tools to deliver high-impact projects. Your work will directly influence water conservation strategies, flood mitigation planning, and infrastructure resilience in an increasingly climate-conscious world.

You will report to our Director of Water Engineering and participate in weekly virtual stand-ups, quarterly strategy sessions, and annual planning retreats (optional, in-person).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrological modeling and water supply assessments using industry-standard software such as HEC-HMS, ArcGIS, and EPANET.
• Design sustainable water distribution and wastewater management systems tailored to regional needs.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for client presentations.
• Collaborate with urban planners, environmental scientists, and government agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor water quality data and recommend treatment or conservation strategies based on real-time analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions within the remote team.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in water resources analysis, hydrology, or related fields.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software, GIS platforms, and data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of federal and state water regulations, including the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act.
