About the Role

We seek a dynamic Water Resources Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge hydrological models and infrastructure projects. Your expertise will drive data-driven decisions on water allocation, pollution control, and climate adaptation strategies. This remote position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams across five continents, ensuring your work directly contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 1D/2D hydrological models using HEC-RAS, SWMM, and Python-based tools
• Conduct lifecycle assessments for water treatment systems and wastewater recycling plants
• Prepare technical reports for regulatory agencies and stakeholder presentations
• Optimize desalination processes and stormwater management frameworks
• Mentor junior engineers on remote collaboration best practices

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is mandatory, with a master’s preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in water infrastructure projects, including:

• Proficiency in GIS mapping (ArcGIS/QGIS) and statistical analysis (R/Python)
• Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or in training
• Experience with remote sensing data (LiDAR, satellite imagery) for watershed analysis
