About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met on schedule and within budget.
• Conduct field data reviews, site assessments, and GIS‑based spatial analyses to inform design decisions.
• Stay current with emerging regulations, best practices, and sustainable technologies in water resources engineering.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure within the state of residence.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in water resources planning, hydraulic modeling, or related consulting work.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling tools (HEC‑RAS, SWMM, XP‑SWMM, MIKE SHE, etc.).
• Strong grasp of GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis and map production.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D for creating detailed engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with federal and state water regulations (Clean Water Act, NPDES, FEMA floodplain requirements).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
