About the Role

Apex Ventures is seeking an experienced Venture Partner to expand our portfolio across technology, healthcare, and climate tech sectors. You will operate as a trusted advisor to founders, leveraging your network and domain expertise to identify breakthrough opportunities. This position is 100 % remote, allowing you to work from any U.S. location while collaborating with a distributed team of investors, operators, and analysts.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate deal flow through personal networks, industry events, and inbound channels.
• Lead due‑diligence processes, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and financial modeling.
• Structure and negotiate term sheets, ensuring alignment between founders and fund objectives.
• Provide ongoing strategic guidance to portfolio companies, covering go‑to‑market, fundraising, and talent acquisition.
• Represent Apex Ventures at conferences, podcasts, and thought‑leadership panels to strengthen brand visibility.
• Contribute to fund‑level strategy, including thesis development, sector prioritization, and LP communications.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, or high‑growth startup leadership.
• Proven track record of originating and closing at least three early‑stage investments.
• Deep domain knowledge in at least one of our focus areas: SaaS, biotech, fintech, or clean energy.
• Exceptional analytical skills with fluency in financial modeling, cap‑table management, and valuation methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal abilities; comfortable building relationships with founders, co‑investors, and advisors remotely.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a General Partner, Principal, or Senior Associate at a top‑tier fund.
• Active angel investor with a portfolio of 10+ companies.
• Published thought leadership (articles, white papers, or speaking engagements) in venture or entrepreneurship.
• Familiarity with data‑driven sourcing tools (e.g., PitchBook, Crunchbase, Harmonic).

Salary Range

Estimated total compensation: $180,000 – $250,000 USD per year, comprising base salary, performance‑based carry, and annual bonus. Exact package will reflect experience, track record, and fund economics.
