Break free from the cab and take your driving career into the digital age! We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Remote Truck Driver (Logistics Coordinator) to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you’ll use cutting-edge routing software and real-time tracking systems to manage a fleet of drivers, optimize delivery schedules, and ensure seamless freight movement—all from the comfort of your home office. Enjoy a stable, high-income career with unmatched work-life balance, no more long-haul nights away from family, and the chance to be the operational brain behind a nationwide logistics network.

About the Role

This is not a traditional over-the-road driving job. As a Remote Truck Driver / Logistics Coordinator, you are the central command hub for our transportation operations. You will leverage your deep understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, route optimization, and freight logistics to support our on-road drivers and guarantee on-time, safe deliveries. Your day will involve proactive communication with drivers, dispatchers, and customers, using advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to solve problems in real-time and drive efficiency across the board. You’ll be home every night, with a predictable schedule and the tools to succeed in a modern, tech-driven logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage driver schedules, routes, and HOS compliance using TMS software.
  • Communicate daily with a fleet of over-the-road drivers to provide route updates, weather alerts, and support.
  • Proactively resolve delivery issues, delays, and customer concerns to maintain service excellence.
  • Analyze logistical data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure all documentation, including Bills of Lading and delivery confirmations, are accurately processed.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and dispatch teams to synchronize loading, routing, and delivery timelines.

Salary Range

Based on current industry standards for remote logistics coordinators and transportation planners, the annual salary for this full-time, salaried position is estimated at $45,000 – $65,000 USD per year. Exact compensation will be determined by experience, specific skill set, and geographic location within the United States. This range reflects a competitive, stable income with opportunities for annual performance-based bonuses and raises.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a plus.
  • Active and Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is REQUIRED. We value hands-on driving experience as it provides critical operational insight.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional driving, dispatch, or logistics coordination role.
  • Expert knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
  • Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), routing software (e.g., Descartes, TMW), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear interaction with drivers and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a remote or hybrid logistics coordination role.
  • Certification in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) or similar.
  • Experience with GPS tracking systems and real-time freight visibility platforms.
