About the Role

As a Remote Surveyor, you will be the eyes and ears of our projects, gathering accurate topographic, boundary, and construction data using a mix of drone technology, GNSS receivers, and traditional total stations. You’ll translate raw measurements into clean, GIS‑ready datasets that feed directly into our clients’ design and planning software.

This position is 100% remote, meaning you’ll coordinate with field crews, project managers, and clients via video conference, cloud‑based data portals, and secure file‑sharing platforms. A reliable high‑speed internet connection and a home office set‑up that meets safety standards are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document land surveys for infrastructure, utilities, and environmental projects.
• Operate drones, GNSS equipment, and total stations while adhering to OSHA and FAA regulations.
• Process field data using industry‑standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and ArcGIS.
• Produce detailed survey reports, as‑built drawings, and digital terrain models (DTMs) for client delivery.
• Collaborate with remote engineering, design, and GIS teams to ensure data integrity and project timelines.
• Maintain equipment logs, calibration records, and quality‑control checklists.
• Provide technical support and training to junior survey technicians via virtual workshops.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional surveying experience (construction, municipal, or utility projects).
• Proficiency with GNSS, total stations, and UAV/drone operations (FAA Part 107 certification preferred).
