In this 100% work-from-home role, you will oversee the processing of raw field data collected by our on-site technicians, perform complex calculations, and draft precise survey plats and topographical maps using industry-leading software. You will act as the vital bridge between our field crews and our clients, ensuring every project meets local, state, and federal regulations without ever having to leave your home office.

Key Responsibilities

Data Processing and Analysis

Review and process raw survey data, including GPS, total station, and drone-derived photogrammetry data. Transform field measurements into accurate CAD drawings and comprehensive GIS databases.

Boundary and Topographical Mapping

Conduct historical research and analyze deeds, plats, and other legal documents to determine property boundaries. Prepare detailed topographical maps for engineering and architectural design purposes.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Ensure all surveys comply with state-specific board regulations and standards. Perform rigorous quality control checks on all drafted plats and legal descriptions before finalizing deliverables for clients.

Client and Field Team Coordination

Communicate daily with field technicians to clarify data anomalies and direct them to specific points of interest on site. Provide exceptional remote support to clients, answering questions regarding survey results, property lines, and project timelines.

Requirements

• Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in at least one state, with the willingness to obtain comity in additional states as needed.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with significant experience in office-based data processing and drafting.
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other standard surveying and mapping software.
• Deep understanding of coordinate geometry (COGO), state plane coordinate systems, and geodetic datums.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration with internal teams and external clients.
