As a Remote Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end structural integrity of diverse projects, from initial conceptual sketches to final stamped drawings. You will collaborate via cloud-based BIM platforms, ensuring that every beam, column, and foundation meets rigorous safety standards while pushing the boundaries of modern architectural aesthetics. This is a position for a self-starter who thrives on autonomy and possesses the technical discipline to manage complex workflows without a physical office overhead.

Salary Range

$95,000 – $140,000 USD/year (Depending on experience and licensure level)

What You’ll Do

Advanced Analysis & Design

You will perform comprehensive structural analysis using industry-leading software to ensure all designs can withstand seismic, wind, and gravity loads. Your focus will be on optimizing material efficiency—reducing carbon footprints without compromising safety.

Collaborative Coordination

Working in a fully remote ecosystem, you will coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers via Slack, Zoom, and Revit Cloud. You will lead virtual design reviews and provide critical technical guidance to ensure seamless project execution.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

You will ensure all designs adhere to IBC, ASCE 7, and local building codes. You will be responsible for reviewing shop drawings, performing quality control checks, and providing the professional seal of approval on final construction documents.

Requirements

Technical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory; SE license is highly preferred.
• Proven experience with RISA-3D, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar structural analysis software.
• Expert-level proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for detailed documentation.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design for commercial or industrial projects.
