About the Role

As a Remote Structural Engineer, you will own the structural design lifecycle for commercial, institutional, and mixed‑use projects. You will translate architectural concepts into safe, efficient, and constructible solutions while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across time zones. This position offers full autonomy to manage your schedule, provided deliverables meet rigorous quality standards and client deadlines.

What You’ll Do

Design & Analysis

Perform linear and nonlinear structural analysis using SAP2000, ETABS, and RAM Structural System. Develop detailed calculations for steel, concrete, timber, and composite systems, ensuring compliance with ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and local building codes.

Collaboration & Code Compliance

Partner with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors through weekly virtual coordination meetings. Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and produce sealed construction documents that satisfy permitting authorities nationwide.

Project Leadership

Lead structural scope for projects valued up to $50 M, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to proposal development, fee estimates, and schedule planning.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Licensure

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred). Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state; ability to obtain comity licenses as required.

Technical Proficiency

Expert-level skills in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Familiarity with parametric design tools (Dynamo, Grasshopper) and cloud‑based collaboration platforms (BIM 360, Procore) is a strong advantage.

Soft Skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication for remote environments. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a self‑directed, results‑oriented culture.

Salary Range

$85,000 – $115,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience, licensure portfolio, and project complexity.

Benefits & Perks

Health & Wellness

Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans with 100 % employer‑paid premiums for employee and dependents. Access to virtual mental‑health counseling and an annual wellness stipend.

Professional Growth

Annual $3,000 continuing‑education budget covering PE renewal courses, conferences (e.g., SEI, NCSEA), and advanced software certifications. Structured mentorship program pairing you with senior principals.

Work‑Life Balance

Flexible core hours (10 am–3 pm ET) with unlimited PTO, paid parental leave, and a home‑office setup allowance of $2,500 refreshed every three years.
