Join a visionary engineering firm where innovation meets flexibility. We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to lead high-impact projects from the comfort of your home office, combining technical mastery with a modern work-life balance.
About the Role
As a Remote Structural Engineer for Apex Infrastructure Group, you will be at the forefront of designing resilient, sustainable, and cutting-edge structures. This is not your typical drafting job; you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of structural analysis and design, ensuring that every beam, column, and foundation meets the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
In this 100% remote position for residents of Texas, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of architects and project managers via cloud-based BIM tools. You will tackle diverse challenges, from residential developments to complex commercial complexes, all while eliminating the daily commute and taking full ownership of your professional schedule.
Salary Range
$85,000 – $125,000 USD/year (Depending on experience and licensure)
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Analysis
- Perform complex structural calculations for steel, concrete, and timber structures using industry-leading software.
- Develop detailed structural blueprints and 3D models that align with project specifications and local building codes.
- Conduct rigorous load analysis, including seismic and wind load evaluations, to ensure structural integrity.
Project Coordination
- Lead virtual design meetings with stakeholders to refine project scopes and resolve technical bottlenecks.
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with the original design intent.
- Coordinate with on-site inspectors via digital reporting tools to provide real-time engineering solutions during construction.
Requirements
We are looking for a detail-oriented engineer who thrives in an autonomous environment. To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred; EIT certification is acceptable for mid-level applicants.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, RISA-3D, or SAP2000.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in structural design and analysis.
- Remote Readiness: A dedicated home office setup with high-speed internet and the ability to manage deadlines independently.
Why Join Apex Infrastructure Group?
We believe that great engineering doesn’t happen in a cubicle. We provide our team with the tools and trust they need to produce world-class work without the burnout of a corporate office.
Premium Benefits
- Total Flexibility: Work from anywhere in Texas with flexible core hours to accommodate your family and personal life.
- Tech Stipend: A generous annual allowance to upgrade your home workstation, including high-end monitors and software licenses.
- Professional Growth: Fully funded continuing education credits (CEUs) and support for advanced certifications.
- Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus a mental health wellness program.
- Retirement: 401(k) matching to ensure your financial future is as stable as the structures you design.
Our Culture
At Apex Infrastructure Group, we value precision, curiosity, and autonomy. We operate on a culture of radical transparency and asynchronous communication, meaning we value the quality of your output over the number of hours you spend “online.” If you are a structural expert who is tired of the commute and ready to elevate your career, we want to hear from you.
