Are you a passionate software engineer ready to architect cutting-edge solutions that redefine an industry? This is your chance to join a forward-thinking fintech company as a core remote team member, where your code directly impacts millions of users and you control your work environment. We blend a startup’s agility with the resources of an established leader, all within a fully remote, asynchronous-first culture designed for deep work and real impact.
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Remote Software Engineer to join our product development team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality, scalable backend services and user-facing features for our flagship financial platform. This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a distributed setting to solve complex problems and deliver exceptional user experiences. You will own features from conception to launch, write clean and maintainable code, and contribute to our technical standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# and .NET Core backend services.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and help drive technical decisions.
Requirements
Core Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in C# and the .NET Core framework (or a strong background in Java/Spring Boot with a willingness to learn C#).
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and ORM technologies like Entity Framework.
- Solid understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus) and microservices architecture.
- Background in financial technology (fintech) or a strong interest in building secure, compliant systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
Salary Range
Based on industry standards for a Remote Software Engineer with your level of experience in a fintech environment, the annual salary for this full-time position is estimated between $95,000 and $140,000 USD, depending on skills and experience. This range reflects a competitive national average for remote roles in the United States.
