About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain micro‑services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and Go.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests to ensure >95% coverage.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and incident retrospectives.
• Optimize database queries, caching layers, and CI/CD pipelines for latency and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to internal developer tooling and documentation to accelerate onboarding.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience building production‑grade web applications.
• Strong proficiency in at least two of the following: JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Python, or Java.
• Deep understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API design, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and versioning strategies.
• Hands‑on experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Proven ability to work asynchronously across multiple time zones with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Open‑source contributions or a public portfolio demonstrating system design thinking.
• Experience with domain‑driven design, CQRS, or event sourcing patterns.
• Background in fintech, healthtech, or edtech regulated environments.

Salary Range

$95,000 – $130,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience and location within the United States.
