About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to drive the planning, design, and delivery of large‑scale civil and structural projects. This 100 % remote position gives you the freedom to work from any U.S. location while contributing to projects that shape communities. You will act as the technical lead on project teams, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations for projects valued up to $50 M.
• Perform advanced structural analysis and design using industry‑standard software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Civil 3D).
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to resolve technical issues and secure approvals.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and CAD technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Present technical findings and project status to senior leadership and external clients.

Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state; ability to obtain comity licenses as needed.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a senior or lead capacity on infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record managing projects from concept through construction close‑out.
• Deep familiarity with AASHTO, ASCE, ACI, and local building codes.

Technical Skills

• Expert proficiency in structural analysis tools (SAP2000, ETABS, RISA) and civil design platforms (Civil 3D, MicroStation).
• Strong command of BIM workflows and coordination processes (Navisworks, Revit).
• Advanced Excel/VBA or Python scripting for automation of design checks.

Soft Skills & Remote Competencies

• Exceptional written and verbal communication for virtual collaboration.
• Self‑directed time management and ability to meet deadlines across time zones.
• Experience leading distributed teams using tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Asana.

Salary Range

Estimated annual compensation: $115,000 – $145,000 USD/year, commensurate with experience, licensure, and geographic cost‑of‑living adjustments.
