Join a fast‑growing, fully distributed company where you’ll shape operational strategy, mentor cross‑functional leaders, and drive measurable growth—all from the comfort of your home office in Colorado. This role blends strategic vision with hands‑on execution, offering autonomy, competitive compensation, and a culture that celebrates results over hours logged.

About the Role

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will own the end‑to‑end operational framework that powers our product delivery, customer success, and internal scaling initiatives. You’ll collaborate directly with the VP of Operations and department heads to design processes that reduce cycle time, improve quality, and enable rapid experimentation. Your day‑to‑day includes defining KPIs, building dashboards, leading continuous‑improvement sprints, and coaching a team of 8‑12 operation specialists spread across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the operational playbook that aligns with company OKRs.
  • Design, implement, and iterate on workflow automation using tools such as Zapier, Make, and custom scripts.
  • Own the quarterly planning cycle for the Operations function, translating high‑level goals into actionable projects.
  • Monitor real‑time performance dashboards (Looker, Tableau) and drive data‑driven decision making.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports, conducting weekly 1:1s, quarterly reviews, and career‑growth planning.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to launch new features with zero‑downtime rollouts.
  • Lead incident‑response retrospectives and embed lessons learned into standard operating procedures.

Requirements

Must‑Have Experience

  • 5+ years in operations management within a SaaS or high‑growth tech environment.
  • Proven track record of scaling processes from 10 to 200+ team members.
  • Expertise with SQL, Python (or R), and modern BI platforms for self‑serve analytics.
  • Strong command of Agile/Scrum ceremonies and experience facilitating PI planning.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or Lean Management.
  • Prior experience managing a fully remote, globally distributed team.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (BambooHR, Rippling) and finance systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks).

Salary Range

$115,000 – $145,000 USD per year, plus performance‑based bonus (up to 15 % of base) and equity grant.

Benefits & Perks

  • 100 % remote‑first policy – work from anywhere in Colorado (or any U.S. state with tax nexus).
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents.
  • Unlimited PTO with a mandatory minimum of 15 days off per year.
  • $2,500 annual home‑office stipend (ergonomic chair, monitor, high‑speed internet).
  • Quarterly learning budget ($1,000) for courses, certifications, or conferences.
  • Company‑wide profit‑sharing program and 401(k) match up to 4 %.
  • Monthly virtual team‑building events and an annual all‑hands retreat (travel covered).

Company Culture

We operate on a “trust‑first” philosophy: outcomes matter more than online status. Our values—Transparency, Empathy, Relentless Improvement, and Customer Obsession—are baked into every meeting, decision, and product release. Diversity isn’t a checkbox; it’s a strategic advantage. Employee‑resource groups, mentorship circles, and a transparent salary band structure ensure every voice is heard and rewarded fairly.

How to Succeed in This Role

  • Adopt a metrics‑first mindset: every initiative starts with a hypothesis, a success metric, and a rollback plan.
  • Build strong relationships across functions; the best operational wins come from cross‑team collaboration.
  • Stay curious—experiment with new automation tools, but always validate ROI before scaling.
  • Invest in your people: coach for growth, celebrate wins publicly, and address blockers privately.
  • Communicate proactively; a concise weekly update to leadership prevents surprises and builds credibility.

Next Steps

If you’re ready to architect scalable operations for a mission‑driven, remote‑native company, we’d love to hear your story. Prepare a brief narrative (300‑500 words) describing a time you transformed a chaotic process into a repeatable, measurable system, and be ready to discuss your approach to leading distributed teams.
