About the Role

As a Remote Safety Manager, you’ll serve as the cornerstone of our commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and monitor safety programs that align with federal regulations and industry best practices. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage remote safety audits, conduct virtual training sessions, and foster a culture of compliance among geographically dispersed teams. You’ll report directly to the Director of Operations and collaborate with HR, IT, and department heads to ensure seamless safety integration across all remote and hybrid work models.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive safety management systems tailored for remote and hybrid work environments.
• Conduct virtual safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver engaging online safety training programs for employees across multiple locations.
• Maintain detailed records of safety incidents, investigations, and compliance metrics for remote operations.
• Collaborate with legal and HR teams to ensure alignment with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
• Monitor emerging safety trends and update policies to reflect evolving best practices in remote work safety.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess a strong background in safety management and a proven ability to lead remotely. Ideal qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in a remote or distributed workforce setting.
• Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or equivalent.
• Expertise in interpreting and applying OSHA, EPA, and ANSI safety standards in remote work contexts.
• Proficiency in safety management software (e.g., Intelex, Sphera) and virtual collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide teams without direct oversight.

Salary Range

$45,000 – $65,000 USD/year, commensurate with experience and certifications.
