What You Will Do
- Develop, maintain, and improve workplace safety policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
- Conduct virtual and onsite risk assessments, safety audits, and hazard inspections.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable federal, state, and industry standards.
- Lead engaging safety training for employees, supervisors, contractors, and leadership teams.
- Analyze injury trends, audit findings, inspection results, and safety key performance indicators.
- Prepare clear reports for leadership and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Support emergency response planning, business continuity efforts, and workers’ compensation coordination.
- Build accountability by helping departments establish practical safety goals and action plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least five years of safety management, EHS, compliance, or risk-management experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements, incident reporting, hazard control, and safety program development.
- Experience conducting audits, delivering training, and communicating with employees at every organizational level.
- Ability to interpret safety data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written communication, problem-solving, project-management, and leadership skills.
- Comfort using digital reporting platforms, Microsoft Office, video conferencing, and remote collaboration tools.
- Preferred qualifications include CSP, CHMM, ARM, or similar safety and risk-management certifications.

Success During the First 90 Days
During the first month, you will learn the organization’s operations, compliance obligations, reporting systems, and safety priorities. By day 60, you will complete an initial program assessment and identify the highest-value opportunities for improvement.
By day 90, you will launch a prioritized safety action plan, establish meaningful performance metrics, and begin strengthening training, accountability, and incident-prevention practices across the organization.
