About the Role

As a Remote Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse, you will conduct virtual assessments, coordinate care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage acute and post‑operative patients. You’ll leverage advanced telehealth technology to monitor vital signs, educate patients, and ensure seamless transitions between hospital and home settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive virtual health assessments for medical/surgical patients.
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, case managers, and therapists.
• Monitor remote patient monitoring (RPM) data and intervene promptly on abnormal trends.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑operative education, wound care guidance, and medication reconciliation via video visits.
• Document all encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) within required timeframes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with HIPAA and state licensure regulations.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in at least one U.S. state (compact license preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of recent medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms, EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar), and RPM devices.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to triage patients remotely.
• Excellent communication skills for virtual patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Reliable high‑speed internet, a private HIPAA‑compliant workspace, and a webcam with microphone.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Medical‑Surgical Nursing (CMSRN) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) eligibility.
