About the Role

As a Remote Medical/Surgical RN, you will be the clinical linchpin for a diverse patient population across multiple states. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include conducting virtual assessments, developing individualized care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and leveraging telehealth platforms to monitor patient progress. You’ll also provide health education, medication reconciliation, and discharge planning support, ensuring continuity of care from hospital to home.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive virtual health assessments for medical/surgical patients.
• Create and update evidence‑based care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Coordinate with physicians, case managers, and home‑health agencies to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, wound care, and medication adherence.
• Document all encounters accurately and timely to meet compliance standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and weekly interdisciplinary huddles.

Requirements

Licensure & Certification

• Active, unrestricted RN license in at least one compact state (eNLC preferred).
• Current BLS certification; ACLS a plus.
• Medical/Surgical Nursing Certification (CMSRN) highly desirable.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of acute‑care Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
• Proven proficiency with telehealth platforms (e.g., Amwell, Doxy.me, Epic Telehealth).
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Technical Requirements

• High‑speed internet (≥25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload).
• Dedicated, HIPAA‑compliant workspace with dual monitors recommended.
• Webcam, headset, and secure VPN access provided by the company.

Salary Range

$78,000 – $102,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience, certifications, and geographic differentials.
