About the Role

Sunrise Health System is expanding its tele‑integrated ICU services and seeks a compassionate Remote Registered Nurse to provide high‑acuity care to patients across multiple states. You will assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions, coordinate with physicians, and ensure seamless documentation within a virtual care environment.

In this role you will leverage advanced tele‑monitoring tools to track patient progress, coordinate virtual rounds, and ensure that each patient receives timely interventions. Your contributions will directly influence clinical outcomes and help reduce hospital readmissions.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor vital signs and clinical status through remote platforms, respond promptly to changes, educate patients and families via virtual channels, maintain accurate electronic records, and participate in interdisciplinary case reviews.

Patient Education and Advocacy

Educate patients and their families about post‑discharge care plans, medication management, and lifestyle modifications through virtual sessions. Advocate for patients’ needs within the care team to promote holistic recovery.

Requirements

A current, active RN license in good standing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and specialized training in critical care are essential. Strong clinical judgment, proficiency with telehealth technologies, and the ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English are required.

Education and Certification

Graduation from an accredited nursing program, successful completion of the NCLEX‑RN exam, and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) are mandatory. Preference is given to candidates with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and experience in tele‑ICU settings.

Experience

Minimum of two years of acute care nursing, preferably within an ICU or emergency department, demonstrating the ability to manage complex patient care plans under pressure.
