About the Role

As a Remote ICU Registered Nurse, you will leverage advanced telehealth technology to monitor patients, collaborate with bedside teams, and ensure timely interventions. You will be part of a multidisciplinary virtual ICU that supports multiple facilities, providing expert oversight, documentation, and patient family communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor real‑time vital signs, labs, and imaging data for critically ill patients via secure teleICU platforms.
• Provide clinical recommendations and escalation alerts to on‑site nursing and medical staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds via video conferencing, contributing to care plan development.
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients’ families on condition status, treatment plans, and expected outcomes through virtual consultations.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including protocol adherence and performance metric tracking.
• Stay current with evidence‑based practices in critical care through ongoing education and certification.

Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of residence (compact license preferred).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred; ADN with equivalent experience considered.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (medical, surgical, cardiac, or neuro ICU).
• Prior exposure to telehealth, remote monitoring, or eICU environments is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively in a virtual setting.

Skills

• Proficient with electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar).
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and decision‑making abilities.

Salary Range

Based on industry standards for remote ICU nursing positions, the estimated compensation is $78,000 – $102,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience, certifications, and shift differentials.
