About the Role

As a Remote Registered Nurse – ICU, you will use your critical care expertise to evaluate patient records, support evidence-based treatment decisions, and collaborate with physicians, case managers, and insurance partners. You may review ICU admissions, assess medical necessity, identify care gaps, and help ensure patients receive safe, timely, and appropriate services.

This position is fully remote and open to qualified nurses across the United States. It is a clinical desk-based role and does not involve providing hands-on bedside care.

Key Responsibilities

• Review ICU and critical care patient records for clinical accuracy, medical necessity, and continuity of care.
• Evaluate diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, laboratory results, and documentation against established clinical guidelines.
• Communicate clinically relevant findings to physicians, care teams, utilization management professionals, and payers.
• Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary delays, improve patient safety, and support cost-effective care delivery.
• Participate in virtual case conferences and contribute informed recommendations based on ICU nursing experience.
• Maintain complete and compliant documentation within secure electronic health and case management systems.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Minimum of three years of recent ICU, critical care, step-down, or emergency department experience.
• Strong understanding of critical care diagnoses, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex medication therapies.
• Experience interpreting clinical documentation and applying evidence-based practice standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex clinical information clearly.
• Comfort working independently in a secure home office environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records, Microsoft Office, and remote collaboration platforms.
• BSN, CCRN certification, case management experience, or utilization review experience preferred.

Remote Work Schedule

This is a full-time, 100% work-from-home position. Schedules may include weekday shifts, rotating hours, or business-hour assignments depending on operational needs. Equipment, system access, and remote onboarding support will be provided to qualified candidates.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this Remote Registered Nurse – ICU position is $82,000 to $112,000 USD per year. Compensation may vary based on nursing experience, certifications, shift schedule, location, and clinical review responsibilities.
