About the Remote Physician Assistant Role

As a Remote Physician Assistant, you will serve as a trusted point of contact for patients seeking convenient, patient-centered medical care. Compensation

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive virtual visits, including medical histories, symptom reviews, medication reconciliation, and patient education.
• Diagnose and manage common primary care, behavioral health, dermatology, and urgent care conditions within your licensed scope of practice.
• Create individualized care plans, order appropriate testing, issue electronic prescriptions, and arrange specialist referrals when necessary.
• Monitor patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and anxiety through scheduled telehealth follow-ups.
• Document encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic health record while maintaining HIPAA-compliant standards.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians, nurse practitioners, care coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care.
• Identify patients requiring emergency or in-person evaluation and provide clear, clinically appropriate guidance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program and current NCCPA certification.
• Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in at least one United States jurisdiction, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in primary care, family medicine, urgent care, internal medicine, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, diagnostic reasoning, preventive care, and evidence-based treatment guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport through virtual consultations.
• Comfort using EHR systems, secure video platforms, digital messaging tools, and other remote-care technologies.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain patient confidentiality in a home-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous telehealth, telephone triage, or virtual urgent care experience.
• DEA registration and multi-state PA licensure.
• Experience managing chronic disease, minor acute illnesses, preventive screenings, or remote patient monitoring programs.
