Salary Range

Estimated compensation: $55,000 – $80,000 USD per year, based on experience, certifications, and geographic cost‑of‑living adjustments. Performance bonuses and productivity incentives are also part of the package.

About the Role

As a Remote Physical Therapist, you will conduct virtual assessments, design personalized treatment plans, and guide patients through exercises using video conferencing tools. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, occupational therapists, and case managers to ensure seamless continuity of care. This fully remote position allows you to set your own schedule while meeting a minimum of 20 billable hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive virtual evaluations, including posture, range of motion, and functional assessments.
• Create and modify individualized treatment programs that align with evidence‑based practice guidelines.
• Guide patients through live video sessions, demonstrating exercises, manual techniques (as applicable), and self‑management strategies.
• Document all encounters accurately in the EMR system within 24 hours of each session.
• Communicate progress and recommendations to referring physicians and insurance providers.
• Participate in weekly case conferences and continuing education webinars.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in at least one U.S. state (licensure in multiple states is a plus).
• Graduate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, neurology, or geriatrics.
• Strong proficiency with telehealth platforms (e.g., Zoom for Healthcare, Doxy.me) and electronic medical records.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts in layman’s terms.
• Self‑motivated, tech‑savvy, and comfortable working independently in a home office environment.
• Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload) and a private, HIPAA‑compliant workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT) or Certified Clinical Instructor (CCI).
• Experience with outcome measurement tools such as PROMIS, DASH, or Oswestry Disability Index.
• Familiarity with billing codes for tele‑rehabilitation (CPT 97001‑97004, 97110‑97112, etc.).
