Join a fast-paced, innovative legal team where your expertise in case management and legal research drives real results. We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Paralegal to streamline our operations and provide elite support in a 100% work-from-home environment.

Salary Range

$55,000 – $85,000 USD per year (Depending on experience and certifications)

About the Role

Are you a legal professional who thrives on organization, precision, and the freedom of a remote workspace? As a Remote Paralegal at Sterling & Associates Law Firm, you will be the backbone of our litigation and corporate departments. You won’t just be filing papers; you will be managing complex case files, drafting critical legal documents, and ensuring that our attorneys are perfectly prepared for every hearing and deposition.

This is a high-impact role designed for someone who is a self-starter. You will leverage cutting-edge legal tech to manage deadlines, coordinate with clients via secure digital channels, and maintain a seamless workflow without ever having to step foot in a traditional office. If you possess a sharp legal mind and a passion for efficiency, this is the career move you have been waiting for.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management & Documentation

  • Drafting, formatting, and proofreading pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Maintaining comprehensive electronic case files and ensuring all documentation is indexed and easily accessible.
  • Managing a complex calendar of court dates, deadlines, and filing windows to ensure zero missed milestones.

Research & Analysis

  • Conducting extensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other digital legal databases.
  • Summarizing deposition transcripts and medical records to provide concise briefs for lead attorneys.
  • Performing due diligence and verifying factual data to strengthen case arguments.

Client & Vendor Coordination

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on case status with professionalism and empathy.
  • Coordinating with expert witnesses, court reporters, and opposing counsel.
  • Managing the electronic service of process and e-filing across various state and federal courts.

Requirements

Professional Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a recognized Paralegal Certification (ABA approved).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a litigation or corporate law environment.
  • Proven experience with e-filing systems and legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or Smokeball).

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Remote Proficiency: Expert-level command of Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Workspace for seamless virtual collaboration.
  • Attention to Detail: An obsession with accuracy; you are the person who catches the typo that everyone else missed.
  • Time Management: The ability to prioritize multiple high-stakes projects independently while meeting strict legal deadlines.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for interacting with high-net-worth clients and judicial staff.

Why Join Our Remote Team?

Work-Life Integration

Forget the commute. We believe that productivity is measured by output, not hours spent in a cubicle. Enjoy a flexible schedule that allows you to balance your professional ambitions with your personal life, all while working from the comfort of your home office in Texas.

Growth & Development

We invest in our people. You will have access to continuing legal education (CLE) credits and professional development stipends to ensure your skills remain at the forefront of the legal industry.

Comprehensive Benefits

  • Full health, dental, and vision insurance packages.
  • 401(k) matching to help you secure your financial future.
  • Home office stipend to ensure your remote setup is ergonomic and high-performing.
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and mental health days to prevent burnout.

The Ideal Candidate

The perfect candidate is someone who views the law as a puzzle to be solved. You are proactive, meaning you anticipate the attorney’s needs before they even ask. You are tech-savvy and comfortable navigating the digital landscape of modern law. Above all, you are a disciplined professional who takes pride in the quality of your work and the integrity of your research.
