About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and solve large‑scale linear, integer, and stochastic programming models using Python, Gurobi, or CPLEX.
• Design simulation experiments (Monte Carlo, discrete‑event) to evaluate risk and uncertainty in operational processes.
• Translate business requirements into mathematical formulations and validate model outputs against real‑world KPIs.
• Automate data pipelines and model deployment with SQL, Airflow, and containerized services (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Present findings through interactive dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) and concise executive summaries.
• Stay current on OR literature and emerging techniques (reinforcement learning, metaheuristics) to continuously improve model performance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or PhD) in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of professional experience building optimization or simulation models in a commercial environment.
• Proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) and at least one commercial solver (Gurobi, CPLEX, Xpress).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex methodology to non‑technical audiences.
