About the Role

As a Remote Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for developing 3D models, producing detailed drawings, and supporting the product development lifecycle from concept through prototype. You will work closely with mechanical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing partners to ensure designs are functional, manufacturable, and aligned with our sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Create parametric 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Inventor).
• Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection to meet performance criteria.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine concepts and integrate feedback.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support prototyping and testing activities.
• Maintain design documentation in accordance with company standards and PLM systems.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Mechanical Designer or similar role.
• Proven track record of delivering designs from concept to production.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with SolidWorks (preferred) or comparable CAD platforms.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal).
• Experience with simulation tools (FEA, CFD) is a plus.
• Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill) and version control.
