About the Role

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mechanical Designer, you will develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical components using industry‑standard CAD software. You’ll collaborate with product managers, manufacturers, and other engineers to translate concepts into manufacturable designs, perform finite element analysis, and ensure designs meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements. Your work will be delivered through virtual design reviews and iterative feedback loops, guaranteeing high‑quality outputs without ever stepping foot in an office.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or comparable CAD tools; advanced modeling, assembly, and drawing capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in FEA, GD&T, and material selection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration and documentation.
• Self‑motivated, disciplined, and experienced in working independently across time zones.
• Familiarity with PLM systems and version control (e.g., Git) is a plus.

Salary & Compensation

Salary Range

$55,000 – $70,000 USD per year, based on experience, skill level, and market benchmarks.
