Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks or AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and clarity for manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design requirements and translate them into actionable blueprints.
• Perform tolerance analysis and ensure designs comply with industry standards such as ASME and ISO.
• Conduct design reviews and document changes in the PDM system to maintain version control.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, reducing material waste and production costs without sacrificing quality.
• Communicate technical specifications effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders via video calls and documentation.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and materials to suggest improvements to existing product lines.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in mechanical design.

• Portfolio of previous design work is highly encouraged to showcase your problem-solving abilities.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor is mandatory.

• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and geometric dimensioning.
