Are you a maintenance expert who is tired of the daily commute and looking to transition into a high-impact operational role? Join our dynamic team as a Remote Maintenance Coordinator, where you will leverage your technical expertise to manage property health and vendor relations from the comfort of your home.

About the Role

While traditional maintenance is hands-on, modern property management requires a strategic mind to coordinate the chaos. As a Remote Maintenance Coordinator for our Texas-based portfolio, you won’t be swinging the hammer, but you will be the brain behind every repair. You will serve as the primary point of contact between tenants, property owners, and on-site contractors to ensure every maintenance request is handled with precision and speed.

This is a 100% Work from Home position designed for a seasoned maintenance professional who understands the technical side of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work but is ready to move into a management and coordination capacity. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues via digital reports, vetting third-party vendors, and optimizing the maintenance lifecycle to increase property value and tenant satisfaction.

Salary Range

$55,000 – $78,000 USD/year (Depending on experience and certifications)

Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Contractor Management

You will build and maintain a gold-standard network of licensed contractors across Texas. Your goal is to negotiate fair pricing, verify insurance and licensing, and ensure that the quality of work meets our rigorous company standards. You are the gatekeeper of quality control.

Technical Troubleshooting & Triage

Using your deep knowledge of building systems, you will perform “virtual triage.” By analyzing photos and videos sent by tenants, you will determine if a problem requires an emergency dispatch or a scheduled repair, preventing unnecessary costs and reducing downtime.

Operational Oversight

You will manage the digital maintenance queue, track work orders from inception to completion, and ensure all documentation is filed correctly for tax and insurance purposes. You will implement preventative maintenance schedules to stop problems before they start.

Requirements

We are looking for a unique blend of technical “know-how” and administrative excellence. To be successful in this remote role, you must possess:

  • Proven Experience: At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in property maintenance, facility management, or a related trade (HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing certifications are a huge plus).
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with property management software (such as AppFolio, Yardi, or Buildium) and a high level of comfort with Zoom, Slack, and Google Workspace.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to translate complex technical issues into simple terms for tenants while providing precise instructions to contractors.
  • Texas Residency: You must reside in Texas to ensure familiarity with local building codes, regional climate challenges, and state-specific vendor regulations.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to solving problems and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, digital environment.

Perks & Benefits

Work-Life Harmony

Forget the traffic. Enjoy a 100% remote environment that allows you to design your own workspace. We believe in results, not clock-watching, providing you with the flexibility to manage your professional and personal life seamlessly.

Comprehensive Growth

We don’t just offer a job; we offer a career path. We provide ongoing training in project management and operational leadership, helping you transition from a technician to a high-level manager.

Premium Benefits Package

  • Full medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Home office stipend to ensure your remote setup is ergonomic and efficient.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays to ensure you recharge.
  • 401(k) matching to help you secure your financial future.

Why This Role is Different

Most maintenance roles are physically demanding and tethered to a single location. This position empowers you to use your expertise on a larger scale. Instead of fixing one leak, you are optimizing the maintenance strategy for hundreds of units. If you have the technical skill set but are looking for a professional pivot into the corporate side of real estate, this is your perfect opportunity.
