Are you an experienced light truck driver looking for a remote-friendly opportunity with top-tier pay, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team? This role allows you to manage local and regional deliveries from the comfort of your home base while enjoying industry-leading benefits. If you have a clean driving record, strong time-management skills, and a passion for safety, this could be the perfect next step in your logistics career.

About the Role

As a Light Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating light-duty vehicles (typically Class 1–3 trucks, such as cargo vans, box trucks, and pickup trucks) to transport goods across designated routes. While the position is considered remote in the sense that you will operate independently from a dispatch hub, the majority of your work will be performed on the road. This role is ideal for self-motivated drivers who thrive with minimal supervision, enjoy structured autonomy, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll work closely with a remote dispatch team using mobile logistics platforms to receive assignments, update delivery statuses, and communicate route changes in real time. We are committed to providing our drivers with predictable schedules, modern equipment, and a culture that values work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate light trucks weighing under 26,001 lbs to deliver goods to residential and commercial customers
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement of all items
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety compliance
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and electronic records via company-issued tablet
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery windows and any route disruptions
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and local traffic laws

Salary Range

Based on current industry standards for remote light truck driver positions, the estimated annual compensation is:

$48,000 – $68,000 USD/year

Pay structure typically includes a base hourly rate ($22–$28/hr) plus performance-based bonuses, stop pay, and mileage reimbursement. Experienced drivers with HazMat endorsements or specialized certifications can earn toward the upper end of this range. Full-time employees are also eligible for overtime pay and seasonal performance incentives.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class B or equivalent, depending on state requirements)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of verifiable light truck driving experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening
  • Strong knowledge of local and regional roadways, GPS systems, and traffic patterns

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with last-mile delivery or e-commerce logistics
  • Familiarity with handheld scanning devices and delivery management software (e.g., Samsara, KeepTruckin)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical loading duties
  • HazMat (H) or Tanker (N) endorsements (a plus, not required)

Benefits

We believe great drivers deserve great support. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance – Premium coverage with low deductibles
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan – Company match up to 5%
  • Paid Time Off – Generous PTO, paid holidays, and sick leave
