About the Role
As a Remote Information Security Analyst, you’ll be the first line of defense against cyber threats across a portfolio of Fortune 500 and mid‑market clients. Your day‑to‑day tasks will include continuous monitoring of security alerts, conducting vulnerability assessments, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to implement robust security controls. You’ll report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and will have the autonomy to propose and execute solutions that align with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate security information and event management (SIEM) tools to detect, analyze, and respond to incidents.
- Execute regular penetration tests and vulnerability scans, producing actionable remediation plans.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, ensuring alignment with ISO 27001, NIST 800‑53, and SOC 2 frameworks.
- Collaborate with cloud architects to secure AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, applying least‑privilege principles.
- Conduct security awareness training and phishing simulations for remote employees.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a security analyst or SOC role.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools such as Prisma Cloud or CloudGuard.
Certifications (Preferred)
