We are looking for a vigilant Information Security Analyst to safeguard our digital assets by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats in real time. This fully remote role lets you work from any location while contributing to a high‑impact security program that protects sensitive data across cloud and on‑premise infrastructures. If you possess a strong analytical mindset, enjoy tackling evolving security challenges, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we invite you to apply.

About the Role

As an Information Security Analyst, you will sit at the heart of our Security Operations Center (SOC), providing continuous vigilance over network traffic, endpoint activity, and cloud workloads. You will partner closely with IT, engineering, compliance, and risk management teams to ensure that security controls are not only effective but also aligned with frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. Your insights will drive improvements to our detection capabilities, incident response processes, and overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor SIEM dashboards (Splunk, QRadar, Elastic) for anomalous behavior, correlating events across multiple data sources.
  • Perform triage of alerts, conduct initial investigations, and escalate confirmed incidents to the appropriate response team.
  • Execute threat‑hunting exercises using advanced queries and behavioral analytics to uncover hidden adversaries.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments with tools such as Qualys, Nessus, and OpenVAS; track remediation efforts through ticketing systems.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of incident response playbooks, runbooks, and post‑mortem reports.
  • Contribute to security awareness initiatives, including phishing simulations and employee training modules.
  • Generate regular security metrics and executive dashboards that highlight trends, risk exposure, and improvement areas.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging threats, attack vectors, and security technologies through continuous learning and community participation.
  • Support audit and compliance activities by providing evidence of control effectiveness and assisting with remediation plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in a SOC, SIEM administration, or security analyst role.
  • Proficiency with at least one major SIEM platform (Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm, Elastic) and familiarity with its query language.
  • Practical experience with IDS/IPS (Snort, Suricata, Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower) and endpoint detection and response (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Carbon Black).
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, and common network segmentation techniques.
  • Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management lifecycle and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS, HIPAA).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to distill technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort presenting briefings to leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC GSEC, CEH, or (ISC)² SSCP are advantageous but not mandatory.
