About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Information Security Analyst to join our expanding cybersecurity team. As a Remote Information Security Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization’s digital assets, infrastructure, and sensitive data from evolving cyber threats.

This is a fully remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust security measures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor security systems and networks for suspicious activity and potential breaches
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
• Respond to security incidents and coordinate containment and recovery efforts
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and other regulatory frameworks
• Provide security awareness training to employees across the organization
• Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies
• Create detailed security reports and present findings to stakeholders

Requirements

Technical Skills

• 2+ years of experience in information security or a related field
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)
• Understanding of common attack vectors and mitigation strategies
• Knowledge of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CEH preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
