About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Daily Security Operations

• Monitor security event logs and alerts from multiple systems in real-time
• Investigate and triage security incidents to determine scope and impact
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
• Maintain and update security documentation, procedures, and incident response plans
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and system updates

Strategic Security Initiatives

• Participate in forensic investigations following security breaches or incidents
• Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees
• Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Recommend improvements to existing security architectures and technologies
• Support external security assessments and third-party vendor evaluations

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in information security analysis or related cybersecurity role
• Proficiency with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or similar security platforms
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall configurations, and IDS/IPS systems
• Experience with incident response procedures and digital forensics methodologies
• Current Security+ certification or equivalent professional credential required

Preferred Skills

• CISSP, CEH, or other advanced security certifications
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools like Nessus or Qualys
• Understanding of compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR
• Programming or scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range

$75,000 – $95,000 USD/year
