About the Role

As a Fundraising Officer, you will play a pivotal role in our organization’s success by developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies. You’ll engage with current and prospective donors, craft compelling proposals, and manage donor relationships from discovery through cultivation. This position requires exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for our cause.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and qualify potential donors and funding opportunities
• Develop and implement personalized fundraising campaigns and strategies
• Conduct donor meetings (in-person, virtual, and phone) to build relationships
• Create compelling proposals, presentations, and grant applications
• Manage pipeline tracking and reporting using donor management systems
• Collaborate with program teams to align fundraising with impact stories
• Meet and exceed individual and team fundraising targets
• Participate in networking events, conferences, and community outreach

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in individual giving, major gifts, or corporate fundraising
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience with donor management software (Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar)
• Ability to travel occasionally for conferences and donor meetings (10-15%)

Preferred Skills

• Experience in international development or education sectors
• Fluency in additional languages
• Knowledge of grant writing and foundation funding
• Project management certification

Salary Range

$45,000 – $65,000 USD/year + comprehensive benefits package. Salary based on experience, location, and demonstrated results. Performance bonuses available for exceptional achievements.
